Researching administrative units at the University

The university has a rich tradition of teaching agriculture, engineering, arts, humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, and more subjects since its founding in 1872, and the administrative units and curricular programs have taken many shapes, expanding, contracting, moving, and merging.

The University-Wide Resources page lists publications about Virginia Tech that include basic timelines, including some dates of colleges, offices, and departments.
