VT Open Access Subvention Fund: Calling all social scientists!

VT Libraries offer an open access (OA) fund to subsidize article processing charges (APCs) for scholarly, peer-reviewed OA journals. This guide includes the request form, fund guidelines, and links to finding OA journals and publishers' OA policies.

Funding for APCs

On March 31, 2020, Emerald Publishing launched a publishing fund of £20,000 to support researchers in sharing their timely and relevant findings related to Covid-19 and similar outbreaks. This fund will cover the APCs (article processing charges) for research published on its open access platform, Emerald Open Research. The platform supports rapid publication, an open data policy, and an open peer review process. Once published, research findings will be available for anyone to read, download and reuse. Find more information at  https://www.emeraldpublishing.com/coronavirus/?utm_source=listserv&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ace_coronavirus-lis_20200331_free
