Welcome to the University Libraries online textbook guide for Virginia Tech students and faculty. Although many publishers do not offer online versions of their textbooks to libraries, we have acquired digital versions of a significant number of course texts. Both print and online materials may be found on Discovery Search on the library home page. For convenience, below is a list of the online textbooks for the Spring 2021 semester that are available to VT students and other members of the university community. Just click on the title to find the e-book link and connect. Please note that login with your PID and password may be required to access the full text. If you do not find what you need here, you can also check our course reserves list or Discovery Search to see if a print copy is available.
Content providers and publishers allow different levels of electronic access to their materials. Where there is a choice, we have opted for the most generous / least restrictive option. Unlimited access can support the largest number of users. This is followed in turn by the NLL (non-linear lending) model, 3-user, and 1-user options.
This list was compiled from information made available to the University Libraries. Every effort was made to be accurate but textbook requirements or instructors may have changed. Instructors may submit corrections or additions here.
Below is a list of known textbooks currently in use and available in electronic form. Use the top of the column headings to filter the list or click on the arrows to change the sorting of the table.
