Welcome to VTechData Help!

Welcome to the VTechData Help Page! VTechData is a repository of data produced by research at Virginia Tech. It is a service of the University Libraries, built and managed by the Research & Informatics Division.

The purpose of VTechData is to highlight, preserve, and provide access to work produced by the Virginia Tech community and the intellectual output of the university in its land-grant mission. VTechData and Virginia Tech serve the Commonwealth of Virginia, the United States of America, and the world by enabling the discovery and dissemination of new knowledge.

VTechData functions as the core of the Libraries' Data Curation Services, which enable datasets produced by faculty, staff, and students at Virginia Tech to:

  • Achieve maximum impact on the scholarly and scientific record,
  • Be used across time and disciplines,
  • Be openly shared for the benefit of humanity.
