ClinicalKey - Carilion Clinic: Clinical Key Mobile Apps

To register for a personal account, you must be using a computer or laptop and be connected to a Carilion network.

1.  Open a browser and enter

     ClinicalKey.com

2.  Look in the upper

     right corner and

     select Register.

3. Complete the form being

    sure to enter your

   @carilionclinic.org email

     Your  USERNAME is your

      @carilionclinic.org email

NOTE:  PDFs are not available for all textbooks.  If the pdf icon is grey, that means no pdfs are available for that title.

If you see lock icons on the textbooks,  contact ljburnette@carilionclinic.org .

HINT: You may have problems if you purchased an Elsevier online book and created an individual account. Call ClinicalKey Tech support for help.

You must register for a ClinicalKey personal account in order to download the app.  If you are homebound, contact ljburnette@carilionclinic.org .

After creating your personal account: 

1. Using your mobile device, download the ClinicalKey app

    from the iTunes app store (iPhone or iPad)

    or Google Play (Android) 

 

2.  Install the app.

 

 

 

3.  Choose the Edition.  Tip:  You will only need to do Step 3 and Step 4 only one time after downloading the app.  You can change later on if need.

4.  Choose your role.  We chose Clinical Reference for the Healthcare Provider.

5.  Enter your personal  account username and password. 

6.  To see the Menu click on the 3 little lines icons in the upper left hand corner.

7.  Click on Browse.

8. You can choose to browse through Books, Journals, Guidelines and etc.
