Cozette Comer is the Evidence Synthesis Services Coordinator at the University Libraries at Virginia Tech. She specializes in evidence synthesis review methodologies (e.g., systematic reviews and meta-analyses), comprehensive search design, formal critical appraisal of research, as well as methods and tools for large review management. In her daily work, she consults with and mentors researchers and students on evidence synthesis methodology and supports relevant skills such as comprehensive search design and critical appraisal. She also partners with research teams as a methodological expert on their evidence synthesis reviews and pursues research focused on other areas of meta-science, such as replication and reproducibility.

Cozette is passionate about helping researchers improve the validity, reliability, and usability of primary research through transparent reporting as a means to more successfully replicate and synthesize research. She also is the library liaison to the Statistics and Mathematics Departments, the Computational Modeling and Data Analytics (CMDA) degree program, and the Center for Biostatistics and Health Data Science.

She is currently a part-time PhD student in Public Administration and Public Affairs, and holds a MS in Sociology from Virginia Tech.
