Pi(e) Day 2025!
Pi(e) Day 2025 is just around the corner--err, crust!
Want to join us for a 2025 Petite Pi(e) Day Zoom chat? We'll be talking recipes, crust, and fillings for our small pies and tartlets at 3pm E/2p C/1p M/12p P on Friday, March 14. If you can't join us, we'll be sharing out our whiteboard here on the guide after the event.
This year, we invite you to combine books and baking by joining us for Petite Pi(e) Day. For the seventh year running, we'll be celebrating Pie Day on March 14th, 2025 with The Great Library Pie Bake-Off (#GLPBO). Together, library colleagues & culinary historians from across the world will bake historical recipes from their collections and share the results, successes, and spectacular failures.
This year, we're inviting everyone to think small with the theme of Petite Pi(e) Day. This is your chance to experiment with historic hand pies, pasties, tartlets, or a miniaturized version of any pie you choose.
We'll be updating the LibGuide with recipe ideas and more as we go, but in the meantime, if you're interested in participating by baking, sharing on social media, and/or joining a Pi(e) Day zoom party, please fill out this form, so that we can keep you up-to-date on plans. Also, feel free to forward this to anyone you know working with recipes or collections in libraries or archives who may want to be involved. The more (petite pies), the merrier!
Looking forward to baking with you! Your Pi(e) Day 2025 planning team,
