- The VTCSOM Library database guide lists the most commonly used health sciences databases for VTCSOM

- These resources are provided by Carilion and require their login information.

Guide to the Virginia Tech Data Repository
- There is a continued push to making data from research studies more accessible; and for de-identified data obtained from federal grants and other government sources to be made publicly available. The University Libraries manages and maintains the Virginia Tech Data Repository to help researchers meet these requirements.

OA Publishing Support
Open Access (OA) has been significantly changing the scholarly landscape. With a goal to make scholarship more available by removing barriers such as subscriptions and paywalls, providing an OA version of ones scholarship has become mandated by several granting agencies.
University Libraries' Guide on Open Access
- OA has been significantly changing the scholarly landscape. The guide linked above describes what OA is, links to finding reputable OA publishers, copyright, policies, and other aspects related to OA.
- Each fiscal year, funds are provided to offset the costs of publishing scholarly article processing fees. The guide linked above provides information about this funding source, including caps, discounts with publishers, and information about VT's OA policy (and Policy 13000).
- VT's full-service publishing unit, they focus on providing digital-first, Open Access content to support the publishing needs of the Virginia Tech community. They publish scholarly and educational materials in multiple formats for wide dissemination and permanent preservation.
