Anatomy Resources for Med Students: Images & Copyright

When using images in presentations and posters, you must cite the source of image. 

All images found in Library subscription resources may be used within the Virginia Tech community without asking permission from the copyright holder. 

Most copyright holders will allow you to use images for educational purposes, including papers and posters presented at conferences.  Be sure to read each publisher's terms and conditions to ensure copyright compliance when using images outside of the Virginia Tech community. 

If you are planning to use an image outside of the Virginia Tech community that requires permission to use, be sure to ask permission at least 3 months in advance of the event.
