AQUASTATAQUASTAT is the FAO's global information system on water resources and agricultural water management. It collects, analyzes, and provides free access to over 180 variables and indicators for more than 200 countries, with data dating back to 1960. Its primary goal is to support policy-makers, decision-makers, and researchers by providing accurate and up-to-date information on water resources, water use, irrigation, and related environmental and health topics. AQUASTAT is also a key resource for monitoring Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6, which focuses on water and sanitation.

CRIS: Current Research Information SystemCurrent Research Information System (CRIS) is the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s reporting system for ongoing and recently completed research and education projects in agriculture, food and nutrition, and forestry. The database includes project summaries from 1966 to the present, often noting where related publications are expected. CRIS also documents education and extension activities funded by NIFA, and projects related to human nutrition are shared annually with the NIH for inclusion in the Human Nutrition Research and Information Management database (HNRIM).

National Agriculture Statistics ServicesNASS allows searching and browsing of reports and data sets compiled by the National Agricultural Statistics Service. Reports cover virtually every facet of U.S. agriculture—production and supplies of food and fiber, prices paid and received by farmers, farm labor and wages, and other aspects of the farm industry. PLANTS DatabaseThe PLANTS Database provides standardized information about the vascular plants, mosses, liverworts, hornworts, and lichens of the U.S. and its territories. Fact Sheets provide brief descriptions of a plant, its uses, and cultural recommendations. Plant Guides are similar but more extensive. Both are provided as PDFs. The database also includes an image gallery of photos and line drawings of U.S. plants plus cultivated or foreign taxa.
