Here are listed guides for finding materials based on their formats.

These resources provide tutorials or training on a process, not necessarily related to a specific subject or area of research. They can be added to existing courses by linking to the listed URLs in Canvas or another LMS.

  • Henry Stewart Talks provides streaming seminar-style lectures, covering key subjects areas from basic science to therapeutic intervention.
  • IEEE Online Courses offers courses in vehicle automation and blockchain technology.
  • JoVE Science Education provides streaming videos on science fundamentals in biology, psychology, chemistry, environmental sciences, and clinical skills.
  • LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com) provides online tutorials and training in a variety of software suites and programs. 
  • Odyssey is a place for educators to find high-quality resources to use in the classroom, including videos, tutorials, assignments, modules, quizzes, and games.
  • O'Reilly Safari Learning Platform provides IT-related ebooks and instructional videos on programming languages, operating systems, networking, and more.
  • Rosetta Stone Please Note: Rosetta Stone is currently indefinitely unavailable due to access issues and University Libraries negotiations with Rosetta Stone. University Libraries also have books and CDs for learning other languages.
  • SAGE Research Methods provides ebooks, videos, case studies, and data sets that cover different research methodologies.
  • Streaming videos can be a great resource for learning scientific theories, lab or clinical procedures, case studies, or design concepts.
