With many universities transitioning to online-only instruction, libraries have ceased loaning print materials. As a result, we cannot request print items from other libraries. Requests for articles from electronic resources will still be processed.
We will hold your requests and process them as libraries resume services.
We understand your concern regarding returning materials. You do not need to return materials to Interlibrary Loan until our library resumes regular services, and you will not be charged any overdue fines during this period.
If you wish, you can still return materials using the USPS prepaid label. These are included with books sent to Extended Users, and can be printed from our LibGuides page (https://guides.lib.vt.edu/ill) under the “Extended Users” tab. The file is located about half-way down the page. Affix the labels to your mailing container.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at email@example.com. Thanks for your understanding as we navigate this situation.
Patrons can request materials not owned or available in the University Libraries' collection.
