Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Materials Not Owned by the University Libraries
Materials which are not owned by the University Libraries can be obtained through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) for Virginia Tech affiliated patrons. Use your PID/password to log into the system; first-time users will be presented with a screen to create their profile in ILLiad.
- For Blacksburg campus users: you can have books delivered to the Vet Med Library for pick-up by selecting "Vet Med Library" as the delivery location in your ILLiad account. If you use this option, return your ILL materials either to the Vet Med or Newman Library.
- Faculty & staff only: you can have ILL books mailed directly to your mailbox (with a return label to send back to the library). Enter in your mailcode as the zip code in your ILLiad account, select "ILL" as the delivery location.
- For users outside of the New River area: enter in your zip code and select "ILL" as the delivery location. You will receive a prepaid USPS label to return the materials at no cost to you.
